Lymm Big Sing and Beverley Craven

June 23 was a another great night for the BIG SING as we welcomed our celebrity guest Beverley Craven along with world renowned saxophonist Frank Mead to the Statham Lodge.

The choir  plus "Shades" opened the evening with " I want to know what love is " with Helen Healey  on lead vocal  - orginally a hit for Foreigner and followed up with the choir's first venture into jazz funk  with Spyrogara's Sierra featuring Michael Healey on sax and a great vocalese duet between Helen Healey and James McCollom.

Beverley and Frank took over for the rest of the first half but the second half of the evening kicked off with the choir joining Beverley for two of her own songs - Rainbows and Mollie's Song about Beverley's first daughter.

After another set  from Beverley and Frank including many of her hits including Holding On and of course Promises the evening reached its finale with a fantastic version of one of Beverley's newest songs Your Life with an uplifting gospel style accompaniment from the 60+ voice choir.

After presentations all round it was impossible to go home without a repeat of  Your Life  which left audience and performers alike uplifted by an evening of outststanding music;  a testament to all that is best about Lymm Festival - top quality performers plus first class community involvement of real talent.
